The Deaf Blindness Help Inc is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization created to support students who are deafblind, deaf, and visually impaired. Our mission is to provide accessibility for the visually and hearing-impaired students through the higher education experience and beyond.
The Deaf Blindness Help Inc is a grass-root charity surrounded by a team of experts in their respective fields. Svetlana Tikhonova as a former Columbia University student established this charity to help visual and hearing impaired students gain access to the full university experience.
Our team's expertise is finding students the resources they may need.
We are seeking to strike a partnership with other universities, who could provide the instruction/curriculum needed to be interpreted, student seats, and some funding for the technology and students.
Approved for 501 (c)(3) and classified as a public charity under IRS section 170 b (1) (A) (vi) effected 06/01/2020.
